You Can’t Take It With You


At the Barnes Performing Arts Center in Oswego High School from October 30th, 2013 to November 2nd, 2013


While At Oswego High School, Bedell oversaw the 2013 fall play. During this process Bedell served as the production manager, technical director, set designer, light designer, sound designer, and master carpenter. The production was an overall success in the community and high school.

Show synopsis: Stenographer, Alice Sycamore, is in love with her boss’ son, Tony Kirby, who is the vice-president of the powerful company owned by his greedy father Anthony P. Kirby. Alice’s family, the Sycamores, is led by Martin Vanderhof, the patriarch of an anarchic and eccentric family where the members do not care for money but for having fun and dabbling in fireworks, play-writing, art, ballet dancing and music! When Tony proposes to Alice, she states that it would be mandatory to introduce her simple and unique family to the snobbish Kirbys, and Tony decides to visit Alice with his parents one day before the scheduled visit. There is an inevitable clash of classes and lifestyles.
